Automatic Nasal Actuator SCADA System

Industrial Automation
Automatic Nasal Actuator SCADA System

Project Overview

Successfully developed an Automatic Nasal Actuator SCADA System using Siemens WinCC Advanced RT and Delta PLC with Modbus TCP/IP communication. The project focused on real-time actuator monitoring, forward/reverse operational control, and centralized SCADA-based automation.

The system was designed to provide reliable actuator operation, real-time feedback, alarm indication, and efficient monitoring through an industrial SCADA interface.

Project Scope

  • SCADA-based actuator monitoring and control
  • Forward and reverse operation control
  • PLC-SCADA communication using Modbus TCP/IP
  • Real-time status monitoring
  • Alarm and safety indication
  • Manual operational support
  • Industrial automation integration

Key Features

Real-Time SCADA Monitoring

Developed SCADA screens for live actuator monitoring, operational feedback, and system visualization.

Forward & Reverse Operation Control

Implemented reliable forward and reverse actuator operation with operator control functionality.

PLC-SCADA Integration

Integrated Delta DVP-12SE PLC with Siemens WinCC Advanced RT through Modbus TCP/IP communication.

Alarm & Safety Monitoring

Configured alarm indication and operational interlock monitoring for safer system operation.

Technologies Used

  • Siemens WinCC Advanced RT
  • Delta DVP-12SE PLC
  • Modbus TCP/IP
  • Industrial SCADA Development
  • PLC Automation
  • Industrial Communication

System Architecture

The system architecture consists of Siemens WinCC Advanced RT acting as the centralized SCADA platform communicating with the Delta PLC over Modbus TCP/IP. The PLC controls actuator movement and operational logic while the SCADA system provides monitoring, control, status indication, and alarm handling.

Engineering Challenges

  • Establishing stable Modbus TCP/IP communication
  • Designing responsive SCADA monitoring screens
  • Implementing actuator control logic
  • Developing reliable operational feedback handling
  • Creating operator-friendly visualization screens

Project Outcome
